For 19 years, Bat Fest has been celebrating one of Austin's most unique nightly events: the flight of 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats from under the Congress Bridge. In 2024, Bat Fest will spotlight local restaurants, breweries, and stage of live music, featuring Ghostland Observatory and Information Society.

The Pecan Street Festival is a biannual event that brings together artists, performers and food vendors for a quintessentially Austin experience. After a roaring edition in May, this year's second Pecan Street Festival promises to be equally vibrant. Featuring artisans that work in a variety of mediums, you will find creations made from metal, wood, fiber, clay, leather, glass and stone. Some of Austin's best musical acts will take to the stage, and over 30 food vendors will offer healthy, delicious and downright indulgent finger food. Entry is free, and kids will find a colorful Kid Zone at the festival waiting to entertain them.
The country's largest genre film festival returns to Texas packed with the best of horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action and "just plain fantastic movies." Fantastic Fest is 8 days of film screenings, events, parties and quirky celebrations of everything cinema. In the past, the event has hosted the world premiere of cult films like John Wick, Zombieland, Apocalypto and many more. You'll be able to rub shoulders with iconic filmmakers and attend up to 5 film screenings every day of the fest. The third annual Kalahari Food & (Not Just) Wine Festival is coming back to the sprawling Kalahari Resort. Featuring the best food samplings from the resort's multiple restaurants as well as popular international and local spirit brands, this festival is a delight for the senses. Some of Austin's best craft beers and wines will also be available. Foodies will enjoy meeting with and watching demonstrations by Kalahari's world-famous chefs. And, of course, who can forget the live entertainment? This year's lineup will be announced soon. General admission is $149 and includes a souvenir wine glass. You can also get VIP passes for $189 that include early entry and a chef meet and greet.
