Things to Do in Austin in December

The Roosevelt Room

The Roosevelt Room
The Roosevelt Room is known for its extensive cocktail menu, but that's selling it a little short. Along with lists of original creations and twists on old classics, much of the menu organizes its cocktails by era, from pre-1880s to modern classics, all made with top-shelf ingredients. You can start with a Manhattan and end with a Oaxaca Old Fashioned. Essentially, it's alcohol-based time travel.

Thicket Food Park

Thicket Food Park
Located in South Austin, the Thicket Food Park is one of the many excellent food truck lots in the city. What sets this one apart from the others is its tree-lined surroundings and the live concerts, which alone makes this spot quintessentially Austin.
