Summer is over, and fall has finally arrived. It isn't easy to overstate how hospitable Texas is through the fall and winter months as it is rarely ever too cold, especially for travelers. During this time of year, you can enjoy nearly everything Austin has on offer, including the Austin City Limits Music Festival, one of the city's signature events.

ACL is one of the best and largest music festivals in the US and is known throughout the world. It attracts some of the most accomplished and popular acts across many genres. This event makes Austin the Live Music Capital of the World.
Relax with some much-needed laughter this fall at the Altercation Comedy Festival. You'll recognize comedians from Comedy Central and Netflix, as Cap City hosts over 30 comedians to their stage over this 3-day fest. Don't forget, there are good restaurants nearby, but you'll want to save room for a Cosmo or an Old Fashioned while you're at the show.
The annual Levitation Music Festival is held in celebration of psychedelic rock and its Austin roots. This four-day festival has featured over 30 shows at more than 10 venues in its former years, including headliners such as John Cale and the Flaming Lips. Stay tuned for this year's lineup and event spaces.
Craft beer lovers can't miss out on one of the largest beer festivals, the Texas Craft Brewers Festival. This event will have some of the best Texas craft beer on site, and there will be collaborations among Texas breweries, coffee roasteries, artisans, and more. Cheers to the trail! Stroll near the Seaholm Waterfront project while enjoying local beer and live music. Proceeds benefit The Trail Foundation. This event is happening during the second week of Austin City Limits, so stop by on your way there, or take a break from the crowds and come to the trail to enjoy a cold beer or cider.
Everyone loves Halloween. The crisp air, the costumes, and the all-around fun that occurs that time of year. It's a contagious atmosphere, especially on 6th Street. Grab a costume, and wander the haunts on Austin's beloved entertainment and drinking district. The bars are open, and the music is playing all within the theme of Halloween.
