May is an ideal time to visit Los Angeles. Tourist attractions are a lot less busy than they will be in June, allowing you to freely explore the city before it gets hectic. The weather begins to become drier in May with little to no rain and lots of sunshine, a perfect place to enjoy Memorial Day weekend. Beaches, public spaces, and some businesses are open, with social distancing and masking mandates enforced throughout the city.
