This is when Austin throws a festival potluck. You've got everything from the TV-binge-worthy ATX Television Festival to the cinematic smorgasbord of the Austin Asian American Film Festival. And let's not forget Juneteenth, Austin's tribute to African American heritage, which is less a commemoration and more a city-wide party. The ATX TV Festival is a four-day event celebrating television in all its glory. Specifically, the Festival looks at TV history, where the industry stands, and what the future might bring. Expect screenings, panels, and talks from experienced TV veterans and professionals. You might even spot some TV Stars, too.

Juneteenth Festival Round Rock

Juneteenth Festival Round Rock

Head to Old Settlers Park to commemorate Juneteenth this year at the annual Juneteenth Festival Round Rock. In addition to specialty food vendors and live music performances, the celebration promises a BBQ Cookoff, a health fair, games, retail vendors, and more. 19th Fest

19th Fest, one of Austin's most beloved Juneteenth celebrations, returns triumphantly with over 2,500 attendees devouring 12 unbelievable Texas Soul Food. There will be 50+ artisan vendors. 19th Fest is a family-friendly celebration home to 50+ artisan vendors, games, cooking demos, and a focus on health and wellness.

The Central Texas Juneteenth 2K Parade & Festival celebrates the end of slavery in Texas and, ultimately, the U.S. To mark the event, residents dress in vibrant traditional attire. After the parade, food vendors offer delicious food while live music performances continue the celebration on stage.

The Museum of the Weird

The Museum of the Weird
The unofficial motto of Austin is “Keep Austin Weird.” This 6th Street museum is certainly at the center of that. A throwback to the roadside attractions of the past, Museum of the Weird is a one-stop spot for the strange. Collected over decades, the Museum of the Weird has classic oddities like Fiji Mermaids, wax museum figures of classic movie monsters and famous sideshow performers.

Zilker Park

Zilker Park
A daylong adventure unto itself and absolutely beloved by the locals, Zilker Park is a vast green space in the middle of one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. It is the home to the Barton Spring Pool, the Zilker Nature Preserve, a statue garden, and botanical gardens, all situated on the Colorado River's cool waters.
