Things to Do in Austin in June

The Museum of the Weird

The unofficial motto of Austin, TX, is “Keep Austin Weird.” This 6th Street museum is certainly at the center of that. A throwback to the roadside attractions of the past, Museum of the Weird is a one-stop spot for the strange. Collected over decades, the Museum of the Weird has classic oddities like Fiji Mermaids, wax museum figures of classic movie monsters and famous sideshow performers.

Zilker Park

A daylong adventure unto itself and absolutely beloved by the locals, Zilker Park is a vast green space in the middle of one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. It is the home to the Barton Spring Pool, the Zilker Nature Preserve, a statue garden, and botanical gardens, all situated on the Colorado River's cool waters.
