Texas Lunar Festival

Join us in celebrating the Texas Lunar Festival honoring the Year of the Snake. With endless entertainment, prepare to witness jubilant dragon and lion dances, drum performances, and even a firecracker explosion show. This family-friendly event offers stations for face painting, numerous food vendors, local artists, and traditional Asian dishes to try.

The Lunar Festival is in Chinatown at 10:30 am and ends at 4:40 pm. Admission is free; join thousands and welcome a prosperous New Year.

Pre Valentine’s Day Stoplight Silent Disco

The Brass Tap on Domain Street in Austin invites singles and couples to a unique and memorable Pre-Valentine's Day event. Welcome to the Pre Valentine’s Day Stoplight Silent Disco! Upon check-in, attendees receive a color-coded glowstick necklace signaling their relationship status: green for "single and available," yellow for "it's complicated," and pink for "off the market." Attendees will be provided with Quiet Events headphones for three live DJs spinning different genres of music and glow-in-the-dark gear. The event is 21+, is rain or shine, and has a casual dress code. Tickets are $15-20; get yours now!

Smokey Robinson

Don't miss one of the most iconic performers in Motown history live in person when Smokey Robinson returns to the Majestic Theatre. He was a founding member of The Miracles, a chart-topping vocal group known for "Tears of a Clown" and "Shop Around." Robinson also had a long solo career, featuring favorites like "Just To See Her." The course zigzags through the heart of scenic downtown Austin. Be sure to check out the downtown Finish Line festival in the heart of Austin's vibrant downtown--the perfect way to wrap up this popular annual event in the Live Music Capital of the World. Registration fees vary for most, but 2025 is a celebration of Food & Beverage Industry Employees. These employees will receive 50% off registration.

Through meaningful collaborations with queer artists, the festival encourages thoughtful dialogue between artists, scholars, and the general public. Don't miss the OUTsider Fest when it returns to the Vortex in Austin. February 19-23.

Carnaval Brasileiro

Dubbed as the largest carnaval celebration outside Brazil, join thousands of Austinites who come together to take part in the annual festivities. The Carnaval Brasileiro festival at Austin's Speakeasy started as a humble celebration among homesick Brazilian UT students who wanted a way to celebrate even while hundreds of miles from home. Forty-plus years later, and now it’s one of the wildest parties that Austin has to offer.
