In May, San Francisco's mild temperatures and low humidity are the perfect backdrop for exploring--despite the occasional fog the city is famous for. Music fans will love this month's line-up of fun festivals like BottleRock Napa Valley and Carnaval San Francisco, while those looking to discover the city's distinctive culture and history will enjoy visiting famous attractions like Alcatraz Island, the Presidio, and Golden Gate Park. And with plenty of Memorial Day events, there's no reason not to spend a long May weekend in the city by the bay.
