Warm Up in San Diego This Spring

Average temperature low and high: 54° - 67°
Spring is creeping back into the air, and San Diego is ready for it. It may still be too cool to take a dip in the ocean, but that doesn't stop you from taking walks along the shore. Take advantage of lower travel rates and fewer crowds before the summer tourism peak hits. The flowers are blooming, the weather is mild and there is much fun to be had! Some events may be postponed or different this year due to COVID-19, we will do our best to update this page with any new information.

Whale watching season in San Diego is from mid-December through April, with migrating gray whales being the most common to see. In the late season, it is also common to see females with their calves as they take their babies back north with them. Don't miss out on this life-changing experience!

Visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields

Visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields
From early March-May, if you visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields, you will be mesmerized by 50 acres of red, orange, yellow, green, and purple flower blossoms. The irony is that the botanical garden was unintentional, the company is a commercial grower of Giant Ranunculus bulbs, and the flowers the bulbs produce just happen to be breath-taking. Make sure you drive by or visit the popular spring attraction.
