San Diego in April is all about warm, sunny weather and upper 60s Fahrenheit temperatures. Beaches, hiking spots, and biking trails are abundant, as well as popular eats like seafood, California-style pizza, and Mexican fare. SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo are notable attractions, though the SoCal Taco Fest, Fangaea Con 2023, and Disney on Ice are worth checking out too. Baseball season also begins around this time, making Petco Park a bustling area for fans of the San Diego Padres.

Petco Park is a Major League Baseball stadium in San Diego, California, and is the home field of the San Diego Padres. They're currently set to play the likes of the Colorado Rockies, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Milwaukee Brewers throughout April. Times vary, though they're typically at either 1:10 PM or 6:40 PM. Petco Park also offers a variety of food options, including local favorites like seafood and Mexican cuisine, as well as traditional ballpark fare. Tickets are currently available.

Tacos, beer, and spring-time San Diego weather, what better combination could one ask for? Head down to the West Coast Taco & Beer Festival, which will be sure to offer that and more. Splurge from 20+ of the area's top taco establishments while kicking back to live music performances. Updated performance lineups, participating taco spots, and ticket information for this year can be found online. 

Uncorked: San Diego Wine Festival

The Uncorked Wine Festival is back in San Diego for its 7th year on Saturday, April 8th, at Spanish Landing Park. Enjoy over 150 wines and bubblies from around the world, plus some unique beverages, a DJ, photo booth, and local food trucks. Two ticket options are available; Early Admission ($80) with an extra hour of tasting and bonus wine selections or General Admission ($65). The event ends at 5 pm, and all proceeds benefit local nonprofit Urban Surf 4 Kids. Only those 21 and over can attend

Coachella

Coachella is a festival on every music lover's bucket list and returns with performances from some of the biggest stars with genres including rock, indie, hip-hop, and dance. The 2023 lineup includes BLACKPINK, deadmau5, Gorillaz, Bad Bunny, and more. In addition to music performances, Coachella also features a range of interactive art installations, food and drinks, and various other activities. The event is held in Indio, California, about 130 miles east of Los Angeles, California. Passes are currently available.

San Diego Vegan Festival

Celebrate the vegan lifestyle and plant-based food/products at the San Diego Vegan Festival in San Diego, CA. The festival features food vendors offering a wide range of plant-based dishes, as well as educational workshops and talks on veganism, animal rights, and environmental issues. And best of all: admission is entirely free. Specific foods, sweets, drinks, and goods are currently TBA, so check back soon for updated information. 

Tequila & Taco Music Festival San Diego

The Tequila and Taco Music Festival is a lively celebration with loads of taco vendors, tequila, live music, and good times for all. The event will be held in Petco Park from April 22nd to the 23rd and will also feature a performance by Lil John on the 23rd. In addition to tequila, guests can also enjoy tangy margaritas and delicious craft beer. Speaking of which, you can choose either a margarita experience (which includes two margaritas and two tickets) or a tequila experience (you'll get one ticket, one souvenir tasting cup, and six half-ounce samples of top-shelf tequila). So raise a glass (or a lot) to this can't-miss event in the San Diego area.

If you love avocados, you won't want to miss the annual Avocado Festival! It will feature guacamole and other avocado dishes, music acts, an expo tent to learn about avocados, arts & crafts booths, food and retail vendors, and more! Admission is free!

Stagecoach Festival

If you are a country music fan, then Stagecoach is a festival that you won't want to miss. This 3-day outdoor music festival will be filled with live performances from about 50 top country singers. The festival will also feature a dance hall, games, guy Fieri's Stagecoach Smokehouse BBQ, restaurants, and bars. Tickets can be purchased here.
