Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live - Glow Party

The Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live Glow Party is bringing your favorite monster trucks to the Chase Centre. Get up close with Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Boneshaker, and of course, the legendary Bigfoot as they crush, crash and skid their way to destruction in epic competitions and battles. With its mix of roaring engines, neon lights, and adrenaline-pumping action, this event is the perfect way to relive your Hot Wheels fantasies. Tickets start at $47 for multiple shows over the weekend. Come early to get close to these ludicrously awesome trucks at the Crash Zone Pre-Party.

San Francisco has a must-see Chinatown known around the world, but did you know about Japantown? The neighborhood is home to the Nihonmachi Street Fair, an annual block party at Peace Plaza. Just look for the towering pagoda to identify the park. The weekend fair comes alive with dragon dancing, sushi, traditional street food, delicious drinks and a moment to recognize and honor the victims of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during World War II. For the most part, however, this is a festive affair. Bring your pet and enjoy the live music, weather and atmosphere.

The Pistahan Parade and Festival celebrates Filipino culture and brings together thousands of local artisans, food vendors, and entrepreneurs to make up the largest Filipino festival on the West Coast. Across eight pavilions, visitors get to explore art, culinary delights, heritage, innovation, and more from a distinctly Filipino perspective. Over three decades ago, the festival became the first outdoor event at the Yerba Buena Gardens. This is where you will still find the Pistahan main stage and many of its major attractions. From dance, hip-hop, and jazz to martial arts, there is something for every taste here. Want to experience the flamboyant Pistahan Parade? Get to the SF Civic Center at 11 am on Saturday. Entry to the festival is free.

Thus, the United Negro Collge Fund has followed a strict mission for decades, offering resources for students, scholarships and other forms of financial assistance for those in underserved Black communities. Join in and add your support during the  2023 UNCF Black Family Heritage Day and Walk this August 26. Oracle Park will come alive with activity as the stadium-by-the-bay transforms into a celebration of giving. The gathering also includes appearances by some of the city's most notable thought leaders and live entertainment.

The Palo Alto Festival of the Arts turns University Avenue downtown Palo Alto into a buzzing, lively open-air art gallery. Booths featuring artistic works from over 250 creative minds line both sides of the street while activities and performances are scattered to catch your attention constantly. You will discover live musicians who will surprise you with funky tunes, and the popular Italian street painting expo turns parts of the sidewalk into works of art right in front of your eyes. Free parking is a few blocks away, so using an Uber or getting to the festival by public transport is recommended.

The Stern Grove Festival brings free music to the people of San Francisco all through July and August. Gigs are on every Sunday afternoon, and you can bask in the sunny Grove and watch your favorite artists take to the stage. Patti Smith, Buddy Guy, and The Big Picnic will all be performing this August. Now in its 86th year, the event is free to enter, but you must register for a ticket in advance. Feel free to bring small blankets, lawn chairs and your own drinks and make a picnic out of it. Visitors over 21 are also allowed to carry adult beverages into the premises. Well-behaved pets are also allowed in certain parts of the venue. Limited parking is available so try to use public transport to get here.
