Glamour Pony: A Musical Space Journey

Experience the glamorous journey of band members Rhomboy (producer/vocalist Nick Rattray) and Flux (vocalist/thespian Evangeline Crittenden), as they tour through space and find themselves on the distant and exotic planet Earth. Glamour Pony’s fantastical stage show is also detailed in a full-color storybook (for sale online and at the show!), which incorporates all the songs from their debut album. Illustrated by Swedish artist HuroFeyr, the beautiful backdrops will be projected and animated by digital magician Charlie Wilson, and narrated by actor and sex educator Wyoh Lee of the podcast Sex Stories.

As a contest between locals and national barbecuers, BBQ Music Fest promises a lot of great food, as the cooks will be bringing their A game if they want to win. Beyond that, there will be live bands and DJs to complement your multiple meals.

Taste of Brews Long Beach

Back for the 10th year bigger and better, the Taste of Brews event is one that you  won't want to miss! Taste some of the best craft beers and select hard ciders, seltzers, and kombucha. There will also be food from some of the best restaurants in the area. Tickets for the 4-hour session (noon to 4pm) starts at $40, and tickets are $30 for the 3-hour session (1pm to 4pm); prices will increase at the gate. Admission includes beer tastes, drinking water, and live entertainment.

Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival
Watch Shakespeare come to life this summer. From August through September, see Shakespeare in Griffith Park. Each show has a pre-show right before each performance that is held in the Old Zoo section of the famed park. Admission is free so bring a blanket, some chairs, and a light dinner and enjoy the show!

Sizzling Summer Nights

Sizzling Summer Nights
Held at the Autry in Griffith Park, Sizzling Summer Nights allows guests to dance the night away as they grove to L.A.’s best salsa and Latin fusion bands. These outdoor parties also include free dance lessons with a professional instructor and access to the museum galleries. There’s a separate dance floor for kids, so it’s perfect for the entire family. There are also tacos, margaritas and other light refreshments available for purchase.
