Then, lace up for the Peachtree Road Race, an epic 10k with an equally epic afterparty. Tired? Relax at the Sad Summer Festival - misleading name, yes, but a pop punk delight. Then, get your heart (and stroller) racing at the 5K Stroller Roll. Refuel at the Grand Tasting Westside with endless tastings and musical frills. Finally, cool off at the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival or uncork some culture at the Wine & Culture Fest.

Flying Colors Butterfly Festival

Did you know there are over 17,000 different species of butterflies in the world, and 160 of those species live in Georgia? Learn about these amazing winged insects and their role in the ecosystem at the 25th Annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival. Experts will be offering talks on a variety of topics, from migration to pollination, and you can even get up close and personal with the nature center's butterflies in a special encounter. Tickets cost $25.

Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest

This summer festival promises to be the ultimate celebration for Atlanta beer lovers. A mix of local and regional craft breweries will showcase their finest creations. Brew Moon Fest will host top local and national acts and food tents from some of the best eateries in town. Tables and chairs can be purchased but many people bring their chairs to the event. The hours of operation are from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the event will commence rain or shine.

Atlanta Fringe Festival

The Atlanta Fringe Festival, a celebration of independent theater and performance art, is set to grace the city from June 3rd to June 9th. Enthusiasts of unconventional artistic expressions will revel in an array of eclectic works mounted by fearless artists from diverse backgrounds. With over fifty performances spread across seven days, attendees can enjoy an immersive experience that inspires introspection and stimulates intellectual curiosity on issues related to social justice, race, and gender identity.

Les Misérables

"Les Misérables" is one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history, Based on Victor Hugo' s novel, the story is set in 19th-century France against a backdrop of societal turmoil and the pending June Rebellion in Paris. Claude-Michel Schönberg's iconic score includes crowd favorites like "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?" with a colorful array of costumes and set pieces. "Les Mis" has been a rousing success for more than 40 years, earning numerous awards, including the Tony for "Best Musical" in 1987. Buy tickets.

Food that Rocks is an esteemed annual culinary celebration where attendees can indulge in savory bites and sips and mingle with celebrated chefs, farmers and mixologists while relishing live music performances. This gastronomic gathering features an eclectic selection of the best local flavors influenced by international cuisine. The event's menu highlights a diversity of dishes ranging from exquisite shrimp to barbeque pork sliders and Mediterranean hummus plates to smoky roasted beef brisket. Participating enthusiasts can sip on hand-crafted beer, wine, and cocktails. General admission tickets are on sale for $85, while VIP tickets are available for $125.

20,000 Beers Under the Sea

20,000 Beers Under the Sea

The Georgia Aquarium is back for its third annual 20,000 Beers Under the Sea. Soak up the ambiance of jellyish swimming overhead and close encounters with several species of sharks while you enjoy beverages and a Wolfgang Puck buffet. There will be a live music performance from two DJs yet to be announced. Tickets are $75 for members and $85 for non-members.

In addition to live performances and entertainment, there will also be a 5K Freedom Run, Walk, and Roll.
