If you’re visiting New York in November, pack an umbrella, and dress in layers, but don’t let the weather stop you from enjoying all New York has to offer. There are still plenty of food tours to take in, so you can sample the popular foods different neighborhoods are known for.  Or spend a day taking a stroll through central park, where the fall foliage makes the setting that much more beautiful.

Taste some of the finest whiskies in the world and learn from some of the world's top distillers, master blenders, and other whisky experts at WhiskyFest. The event features the grand tasting from 6:30 to 9:30 pm (beginning at 5:30 pm for VIP guests), which offers single malt, blended Scotch, Irish, bourbon, rye, Tennessee, Canadian, and Japanese distilled whiskies. Other spirits, including high-end rum, are also available to taste. Whisky experts are present at pouring booths to educate guests on the whisky-making process and host seminars throughout the evening. TCS New York City Marathon

TCS New York City Marathon

There's no place like New York, and that's especially true for the TCS New York City Marathon on November 6th. The race will commence in the morning at Fort Wadsworth in Staten Island and finish in Central Park, where athletes will run through all five boroughs, totaling 26.2 miles. Though registration has already closed for 2022, runners can earn a spot on the 2023 roster by finishing nine qualifying races, volunteering at one qualifying opportunity, and becoming an NYRR member. Renegade New York Winter Fair

It's time for the Winter Renegade fair. This indoor event will host one-of-a-kind art, high-end jewelry, textiles, prints, and more. Whether you're looking for a beauty and wellness gift, handmade items for your home, or want to do a little window shopping, there will be something for everyone. The fair will be open from 11 AM to 5 PM on both days. Entry is free, and you can learn more about this event, including a list of vendors, on their website.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Macy\'s Thanksgiving Day Parade

It's the world's largest parade. The iconic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade takes place in Manhattan, where the most decorated floats star in the procession, mixed in with marching bands and various performers. The parade returns for its 96th running. The public can enjoy the parade free of charge along designated areas of the parade route.

New York Comedy Festival

For an entire week, you can catch some of the world's best comics across the Big Apple. Two hundred comedians bring their acts across the five boroughs in the second week of November. Catch stars as well as countless other up-and-coming comedic talents.
