Beaches Open Up to the Public this Month in Chicago

May is the perfect month to visit if you are looking to enjoy warmer temperatures without being uncomfortably hot. Although masking and social distancing protocols are in place, parks and public spaces are open. Specifically, this month is when beaches should open up, so head out to enjoy some fun under the sun. Some annual events may be postponed or different because of COVID-19, we will update this page with any new information in the coming weeks released by organizers.

Have a night filled with laughs provided by American stand-up comedian, writer, and producer, Steve Treviño. You're in for a treat because he's well known for his hysterical stand-up performances. In fact, he's released three stand-up specials: one for Showtime, a second released on Netflix, and a third, which is available on Amazon Prime Video. This exhibit will immerse you in a wide range of Van Goghs art (sunny landscapes, night scenes, portraits, and still life paintings). Some specfic pieces featured include the Mangeurs de pommes de terre (The Potato Eaters, 1885), the Nuit étoilée (Starry Night, 1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888), and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom, 1889).
