Cupid's Undie Run

Cupid's Undie Run

Help find a cure for neurofibromatosis and have some fun at Cupid's Undie Run on February 25th, 2023.

Brave the Windy City winter in your underwear for a mile-long race, then warm up at the party hosted by a local sports bar, complete with drinks, food, and entertainment.

Neurofibromatosis affects 1 in 3000 babies, causing painful tumors to grow on nerves.  These tumors can cause visible growths, are painful, and currently have limited treatment options and no cure.  Since those suffering from neurofibromatosis can't hide the tumors, organizers of the event invite everyone to show their support by baring it all (or at least most)!  The Undie Run, which started in 2010, has raised over 21 million dollars for research and awareness.

Sign up on their website and invite friends and family to join as well.  Receive various prizes depending on how much money you raise, and don't forget a change of clothes for the post-run celebration!

If you are in the city between early- and mid-February, make sure you check out the Chicago Auto Show; it is the largest and longest-running auto show in North America. Held at the McCormick Place Convention Center, you will get the opportunity to see over 1000 vehicles on display by 36 manufacturers from all over the world. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors aged 62 and older, $10 for children 4-12, and free admission for children 3 and younger when accompanied by a paying adult.

Harry Potter: Magic at Play is an interactive experience that will take visitors through three floors of Harry Potter-themed fun. The experience includes playful celebrations of favorite places and moments from the Harry Potter series, activities such as exploring, climbing, and playing, and classes in Potions, Charms, and Divination. Visitors will also be able to test their Quidditch skills, seek out the wonders of the Forbidden Forest, and enjoy an iconic Butterbeer. Hours of operation vary depending on the day of the week and holidays. Visitors can purchase general admission, flexible entry, or premium tickets with priority entry and exclusive perks.

The Cider Summit Chicago is set to host its 10th annual festival on February 3, 2024, at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. This year's event will continue its tradition of featuring a wide range of ciders, with over 150 selections from more than 50 producers, including local, regional, and international favorites. Attendees can also enjoy mead, cider cocktails, apple spirits, and more. We are still waiting on 2024 details, but last year's festival had two sessions, 11 am-3 pm and 4 pm-8 pm. VIP tickets, which include a festival tasting glass, 16 tasting tickets, and express admission, will be available for $50+ taxes & fees. General Admission tickets can be purchased online in advance for $40+ taxes & fees or at the gate for $50. The festival promises a vibrant atmosphere with food, merchandise, an Escanciar competition, and a Women in Cider live YouTube broadcast​.
