Rise Festival

Join the world's largest sky lantern release 25 miles south of Las Vegas at the Rise Festival. Set in the striking Mojave desert, the festival features live entertainment, gourmet food options and immersive spaces you can get lost in. Tickets start at $129 per day of the festival. Driving down to the festival? Parking passes can be acquired for $35 and must be purchased in advance.

Downtown Brew Festival

Downtown Brew Festival

The Downtown Brew Festival gives visitors an opportunity to sip on a choice of more than 200 craft beers. Motley Brews has staged the event for 11 straight years, returning to the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater 5-9 p.m. with an extra hour for VIP ticket holders. Dozens of craft breweries will be represented with live music, art, shopping, food and more.

The singer has also developed into an in-demand concert act who is now playing stadiums across the country. Her latest adventure, "Summer Carnival" comes to Allegiant Stadium with Brandi Carlile. L.A. Lakers vs. Brooklyn Nets

Las Vegas continues to build a reputation as a sports town. After a bigger-than-ever edition of Summer League exhibition games, the NBA returns to Las Vegas for a preseason showdown between the Los Angles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. The teams hit the court inside the T-Mobile Arena at 6 p.m. on October 9. Is this a sign Sin City will eventually have an NBA team of its own? Sin City is already home to WNBA champion Aces and weclomed NBA Con for the first time in 2023.

Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival

Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival

Travel back to medieval times with the three-day Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival at Sunset Park. See authentic costumes, staged battles and historic reenactments with food and drinks that are true to the era. You'll also be able to browse works for sale by artists and craftspeople. The festival runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets begin at $15, with camping options available. 

South Point 400

NASCAR fans will flock to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400. The event breaks down into the Alsco Uniforms 302 NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race on Saturday, Oct. 14 and the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series playoff race on Sunday, Oct. 15. Echo & Rig James Beard Foundation Dinner

Award-winning Chef Sam Marvin hosts a six-course feast at the Henderson location of his Echo & Rig restaurant at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception kicking things off a half-hour earlier. The dinner is a benefit for the James Beard Foundation's support of the culinary arts. Each course is crafted from sustainable ingredients and paired with wine from Chateau St. Michelle Wine Estates or whiskey from Uncle Nearest.

When We Were Young Festival

When We Were Young Festival

The When We Were Young Festival comes to Las Vegas October 21-22 with the same lineup repeating both dates. Spend all day at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the south end of the Strip with your favorite bands from the ’90s and 2000s. This year's headliners include artists like Blink-182, Green Day, Simple Plan, Yellowcard and Bowling for Soup. Purchase tickets today.

Las Vegas Philharmonic Symphonic Spectacular

The Las Vegas Philharmonic returns to the Smith Center with Symphonic Spectacular, a show featuring Eric Whitacre's October and other personal favorites of Music Director Donato Cabrera. The 7:30 p.m. performance kicks off the 25th season for the orchestra. Cabrera himself is marking 10 years in his role. See the incredible musicians take the stage at the elegant Reynolds Hall, one of the best places for sound and acoustics in Las Vegas.
