Moulin Rouge! - The Musical

The glamorous Moulin Rouge. The Musical is playing in your city. Come and experience one of the most iconic stage musicals of all time and revel in the opulent set design, classic songs and memorable characters. You've seen the movie. Now imagine watching it all unfold on stage right in front of you. The dazzling crew orchestrating this spectacle includes Tony Award winners like director Alex Timbers, music supervisor Justin Levine and choreographer Sonya Tayeh. Head to the nation's capital for the 19th annual Jazz Fest, a "celebration of all things jazz." Located across several neighborhoods, this five-day event will include a Labor Day weekend of performances at the waterfront District Wharf. Here, concert-goers will enjoy water views, local restaurants, and live performances from numerous jazz artists - including Grammy-winning musicians and groups. Some of this year's lineup includes Gregory Porter, Samara Joy, Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble and lots more. Tickets are available online and include options for seated or standing single-day passes, VIP lounge passes, or exclusive cabana access, complete with food and alcohol packages.

Oktoberfest Weekend at the Wharf

Put on your lederhosen and hit the Waterfront at Oktoberfest Weekend at the Wharf.  Cheer on your favorite pup in the Dachschund Dash, listen to live music, eat authentic German cuisine, and, of course, drink lots of beer.  Don't forget to enter the stein-hoisting competition - it's harder than you think.

The Wharf is excited to announce its annual Oktoberfest celebration featuring a weekend full of activities perfect for all ages. This year’s festivities feature the Annual Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash, a polka dance party on Transit Pier, and stein hoisting contests. Throughout the weekend, restaurants across The Wharf will have German fare, Bavarian decor, and Sam Adams Octoberfest beer. Pets are allowed during this festival in the outdoor areas of The Wharf. Please bear in mind that it will be crowded. Entry to this event is free.

Dubbed the "best kept secret in Washington, DC," the H Street Festival allows artists and performers to display their talents. A combination of live stage performances and vendor booths line 11 blocks, drawing in over 150,000 guests. Participants can explore everything from fashion to poetry at one of D.C.'s favorite festivals.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this September at Fiesta DC, an annual multicultural festival that's all about the culture of Latin American and the Caribbean. See parades, live musicians, traditional dancing and art exhibits while enjoying various cuisines. The winner of Miss Fiesta DC earns a cash prize. It's a beautiful experience outdoors along an inlet of the Potomac River. The festival is free and open to all.
