Spring in Seattle Means Sunshine, Sports, and Scenery

Average temperature low and high: 42° - 58°
April in Seattle means spring is on the way as the city welcomes refreshing weather and sunnier days. The somewhat warmer temperatures (often in the 50s and 60s) make for a milder backdrop perfect for enjoying outdoor activities. Enjoy the early blooms at the Washington Park Arboretum, take a hike on the Discovery Park Loop Trail, or visit the iconic Space Needle to take in some of the city's picturesque views. Seattle also has its share of fun April events, such as the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival, Seattle Restaurant Week, and the Best of the Northwest Spring Show. Visitors can also welcome the baseball season with a Seattle Mariners game at T-Mobile Park.

Enjoy a Drink and a View at The Nest Lounge

Enjoy a Drink and a View at The Nest Lounge
Down for a drink? In March, it can be hard to enjoy Seattle’s many stunning rooftops, but The Nest was made for the chilly, rainy days that Seattle knows all too well. Situated atop the Thompson Hotel, an indoor seat at The Nest comes with more than elegant cocktails. You’ll be dazzled by a spectacular view of sparkling lakes, the famous Pike Place Market, and the rest of the Seattle skyline. If it’s a dry day, you can even sit outside next to cozy fire pits for a totally unobstructed view. Reservations at The Nest are highly recommended, and this is a strictly 21+ location.

Cruise through Seattle's Natural Lakes for a Scenic and Educational Tour

Cruise through Seattle's Natural Lakes for a Scenic and Educational Tour
Take advantage of Seattle’s unique location amidst pristine natural lakes and a bustling city with a two-hour cruise through Elliot Bay, Ballard Locks, and Lake Union. When you book a One-Way Locks Cruise, you’ll get to board a unique tour boat with boat elevators that raise or lower you based on the changing tides. Aside from the picturesque views of Seattle’s skyline, you will learn all about the area and its history, including interesting nautical information from seafarers who regularly navigate Seattle’s freshwater and saltwater lakes. You can book a tour that starts in Seattle or South Lake Union but keep in mind that this is a one-way tour.
