October just wouldn't feel right without Oktoberfest, and this year celebrates Mesa's 50th anniversary of hosting the favorite German festival. Don't miss a minute of the full lineup of entertainment, including Oompa music, traditional German bands, rock music and live DJs. You'll witness the keg relay, a yodeling contest, and of course, the Dachshund Dash. You'll want to attend all 3 days so you don't skip a second of the crafts, games, and German performances. This event is free to enter for all ages and VIP passes start at $20 

La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

Combine your love of art and wine at The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival. This festival will have pieces from over 150 artists from the US and Mexico and has a wine & beer garden featuring 35+ wines and local beer. Notably, this year’s featured artist is Paola Luther. Other attractions include live entertainment, delicious food, pet adoption, Geppetto’s Toys Family Art Center and even a silent auction. Entry to LJAWF is free - However, tickets for the beer and wine garden vary from $40 - $70.

Dress to impress at the 14th annual San Diego Spirits Festival, taking place at the breathtaking Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla. Spread out throughout five unique settings; guests can expect live entertainment, endless cocktails from 60+ brands, restaurant bites and a spirits competition. Tickets range from $80 - $185.

Celebrating 22 years, the San Diego International Film Festival allows film lovers to watch movies from new and established directors. In between movies, individuals will have the opportunity to attend panels with filmmakers & actors to learn facts about behind the scenes. Previous film premieres include The Blair Witch Project, Napoleon Dynamite, and An Inconvenient Truth. Many film goers have even seen celebrities such as William Shatner, Colin Hanks, and Jesse Eisenberg - Early bird tickets and pass packages are available to purchase.

Rancho BEERnardo Festival

Rancho BEERnardo Festival

The annual Rancho BEERnardo Festival brings a wide selection of craft beers courtesy of some of the region's best brewers for one fun and boozy afternoon. Organized by the Sunrise Rotary of Rancho Bernardo, this event helps raise funds for various humanitarian programs while giving you the chance to sample more than 50 India Pale Ales (IPAs), craft beers, and a wide wine selection. General admission is $65, or you can enjoy early entry, complimentary food and access to a special VIP area with the VIP pass for $90. This event is for 21+ only, and special $10 passes are available for designated drivers.

This sprawling 129-year-old winery has been host to brunches, weddings, and tasting rooms for 3 generations. This year, they invite you to enjoy what organizers call a "true artisan fair". All vendors hand-make their merchandise and are juried prior to participation. There is no admission fee, and you can learn more about the winery here

Grab your cultural hats and come down to the Oceanside Dia De Los Muertos Festival, an annual celebration of Mexico's Day of the Dead festival. Soak in the culture through music, delectable Mexican food, crafts and lively entertainment. Youngsters can pick up books from the Bookmobile, there's a car show for auto enthusiasts, and the chalk cemetery is a spectacle to behold. Finally, honor your dearly departed by placing a memento or family relic at one of the many decorated alters. There's limited parking space so kindly use public transport whenever possible.

Tickets are on sale now for RL Grime. The DJ and producer behind albums like Void, Nova and Halloween X hits the stage for a night of trap, bass and all the electronic dance music you can handle. Be ready to dance all night long. RL Grime has already headlined Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival and Lollapalooza so seize the opportunity to see him up during his own show with thousands of fans.
