New York Comedy Festival

New York Comedy Festival

The New York Comedy Festival is back, bigger and bolder, stretching over ten days to fill the Big Apple with laughter. The 2023 lineup is a roster of rib-tickling royalty, featuring Bill Burr, Margaret Cho, Anthony Jeselnik, and Conan O'Brian, just to kick things off, and followed by dozens more comedians. Don't forget the 17th Annual Stand Up For Heroes event in support of veterans, where comedy legends like Jimmy Carr, Ronny Chieng, Tracy Morgan, and Jon Stewart will be cracking jokes and dropping truth for a great cause. Ticket prices vary per show.

TCS New York City Marathon

TCS New York City Marathon

The 2023 TCS New York City Marathon is an event that takes runners on a path throughout the five boroughs of New York. Last year, 47,839 individuals from 131 countries completed the 26.2 miles. Although registration has already closed for 2023, runners can earn a spot in 2024 by completing nine qualifying races, volunteering at one qualifying opportunity, and becoming an NYRR member. Not a runner? Line the streets and cheer on the participants as they race by. More information on the route, race day and how to volunteer can be found online.

Whiskey enthusiasts will have the chance to try some of the best whiskies and attend master classes on the History of Heaven Hill Distillery and Fuji Whisky – Our 50-Year Journey from the Peak of Mt. Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade returns for the 97th time to transfix you with its grandeur. The parade lineup includes their signature giant balloons, marching bands, stilt walkers, Broadway performances, cheerleaders, show-stopping floats and guest stars. Drop in to view the celebratory spectacle along the traditional 2.5-mile route stretching from the Upper West Side to Midtown for free.
