Mardi Gras, America's favorite festival for fun and debauchery, is back and starts on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. This citywide celebration is felt the strongest on Bourbon Street, where bars are packed, live jazz music fills the air, and beads are tossed to revelers. Mardi Gras is an indulgent celebration with colorful parades and costumes, and it lasts for a week leading up to Fat Tuesday, the main event of Mardi Gras. The French Quarter is known for hosting many parties and events throughout the week, making it the epicenter of the celebration.

Les Misérables

"Les Misérables" is one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history. Based on Victor Hugo's novel, the story is set in 19th-century France against a backdrop of societal turmoil and the pending June Rebellion in Paris. Claude-Michel Schönberg's iconic score includes crowd favorites like "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?" with a colorful array of costumes and set pieces. Attending a Mardi Gras parade is a must during Carnival season in New Orleans, and The Krewe of Freret Parade is a great one to add to your list. This parade is known to be filled with local artists and entertainers who give out intricately decorated Mardi Gras masks. The parade route is scheduled to start uptown at the intersection of Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street and then proceed north up Napoleon Ave. until St. Charles Avenue, through the Garden District. Tet Fest

Tet Fest in New Orleans is known for being a melting pot of many cultures and is home to a large Vietnamese population. Tet Fest celebrates the Vietnamese New Year in New Orleans East each year. Head down to the Mary Queen of Vietnam Church to enjoy a day filled with vibrancy, authentic food, traditional performances and dances, and live music. The 2024 event will occur on February 10, 2024, at 14011 Dwyer Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70129. Admission is free and open to the public​.

With a career spanning 40+ years as both a member of the iconic band Fleetwood Mac and as a solo superstar, songstress Stevie Nicks continues to wow with her on-stage charisma and legendary performances. A follow-up to her highly successful 2023 solo tour (which included shows with Billy Joel), Nicks will ring in the new year with a limited series of performances in 2024. In February, The "Landslide" singer and legendary performer will visit New Orleans' Smoothie King Center for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening.

Boat Show New Orleans

Head down to the Pontchartrain Center to see hundreds of boats under one roof for the biggest boat show in the region.
